Northstar Management Company, LLC acted as owner’s representative for the expansion and renovation of St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. This project resulted in a new, $132 million four-story hospital facility, a separate pediatric emergency department, and private acute care patient rooms.

Northstar selected an iBEAM OnSite live PTZ camera to help monitor the overall construction area and its progress. With many issues revolving around redirecting traffic flow and expanding the hospital’s parking areas, the camera helped Northstar verify compliance with parking regulations and navigate traffic flow in and out of the site.

After neighbors complained of noise from construction vehicles in the middle of the night, iBEAM added an additional archive view capturing the area of the reported noise. After several nights of capturing this evidence Northstar was able to prove that there was no construction traffic, and the complaints stopped immediately.

The online Image Archive also allowed Northstar to pinpoint weather delays and substantiate contractors’ claims for compensation for lost time. The monthly time-lapse movies were used by the hospital’s VP/CFO during monthly managers’ meetings to report on the project’s progress.
